I love DIY projects of all varieties. In fact, Bella Bundles grew from my love of sewing, designing and creating something beautiful out of different materials, thread and love (aw).
I recently replicated something fantastic that I found online. Because the price of the item was exceptionally expensive for what it was, I decided to take a stab at creating one (or three) for myself.
For those that are feeling crafty and like the look of these custom created buckets, I’ve outlined the materials needed and the steps it takes to make your own piece de resistance!
Here is what you will need:
Tin bucket from Michaels craft store. Or you can source for these online.
Wrapping paper. I also utilized PaperSource for this although many art stores carry unique and beautiful papers sold by the sheet that can make your bucket really stand out.
- Get your kids involved; have them create new drawings or use their artwork from the past in lieu of store bought paper.
- Fit your paper to the bucket. You can panel the paper on like wallpaper or trace the outline of bucket and cut your paper from there.
Glue paper on to bucket and firmly press all sides to get out air bubbles that may occur.
Let bucket sit and dry and then coat top of paper 2 to 3 times.
I love the look of my buckets and have them displayed and utilized in the dining area of my home. Just like Bella Bundles’ products-they look great and serve a functional purpose.
Have fun creating!
