ODE TO WEDNESDAY

Growing up, Wednesdays were always my favorite day of the week.  Otherwise known as hump day; it was the day when I knew weekend bliss was right around the corner.  In some ways 'Hump Day' still has the same affect on me.

The weekends may not hold the same childhood bliss, but there are still many joys in knowing the weekend is right around the corner.  For example, I know that I can sleep a bit longer, because my husband is home to help me give our kiddos the love and attention they need at 6:15 in the morning.  I don't have to rush my four year old to preschool, while towing my six month old in her PJ's along for the hour long drop off and turn around, stressing that she will fall asleep in the car before I get home and put her in bed for morning nap.  I can slowly enjoy my coffee. I don't have to make and pack school lunch. I don't have to worry that I may be forgetting something as I run out the door. ......(Well, that might not be completely true.  I have been forgetting things and running back into the house 20 times over my whole life!)   With the weekend, I know that there will be a 1-2 hour window that I will have just to myself.
Don't get me wrong.  I am so grateful to have my family and oddly enough, make those lunches, but a girl has got to have a break in order to enjoy those things.  This is why I love Wednesday, because it reminds me that there is a personal pause just around the corner!
